Long ago in a faraway land of Lycea in Asia there lived a fierce monster called the Chimera. It breathed fire and smoke from his huge nostrils and devoured anyone who dared to come near it - sheep, cattle, men, women, children, and even wild beasts. People were afraid to come out of there houses and their King Isobates could neither eat nor rest for worrying how to rid his land of the evil monster. For what man would be so brave to undertake so dread a task? The monster had no fewer than three heads, a goat's, a lion's and a serpent's, and from its three heads there gushed forth long tongues of flames that burnt the countryside and spread destruction far and wide. The Chimera's body was like that of a dragon and its tail like that of a boa constrictor.
At that time a brave and noble young knight, Bellerphon by name, chanced to be visiting the King of that land. It was Bellerphon's fondest dream to do some brave and valiant deed, so when the king proposed that he should go out and test his strength against the chimera he was only too eager to prepare himself for this mighty task.

Cloze Exersize - Grade 4 Matilda by Roald Dahl

Matilda is a great book for readers in grade 3-5. It tells the story of a 5 year old girl named Matilda. Matilda is a very bright girl. She started talking fluently when she was one year old and could read perfectly when she was five. all her parent's thought of her was a noisy little chatterbox.

At Matilda's school there is a very mean Headmistress called Miss Trunchbull. She is very violent and doesn't seem to like children. Then there is Matilda's teacher called Miss Honey who is nice to everyone. This wonderful book tells about the wonderful adventures of Matilda what she gets.


If you like the sound of this book go down to your local library or school library to read it and be amazed by Matilda.

Magic Carpet Ride

I'm on my trusty magic carpet flying in the sky. Write now I'm flying to my favourite place Its in the deep jungle were not that dangerous traps around every corner! Suddenly fire burst all around me now the place that was quite relaxing turned into a nightmare.

I had to keep on jumping over logs and building barricades to keep the fire out. Now I'll be safe for a while.

Still exploring through the jungle I found a good spot for a campsite. So I set up the campsite on fine sand I went to bed for a little nap. Ah that was a good sleep what I I'm sinking in quicksand. I hurried to find something sharp to cut the top of the tent so i can jump out. Oh here's knife rip then noise I herd when the tent cut open I went through the hole and jumped onto the carpet and rode away.

That was scary I think I'll go home now.

2009 Term 2 Disco!

On Friday the 12th of June T. Primary School had the best disco of the century, we had lollies and as much sausage sizzles for free! We have two sections in our school the junior side and the senior side. The junior side has the year kindergarten to the year two's and the senior side has the
year three's to the year six's.

We used that program within the disco with the junior disco from 6:00-7:30pm and the senior disco 7:45-9:00pm.




Dragonfly, Puppy and myself picked a theme to go to the disco it was as goths. At home before the disco my sister did my makeup, picked my clothes and picked some jewelry that i could were. First of I got my close on I had a blue denim jacket, a black short sleeved T-shirt, and long black pants and a silver necklace.

Then I got to makeup I had pale powder, liquid eye liner, and cool spiked up hair.



When I arrived we started to do the limbo It was amazing how much flexibility some people have. I limboed under ever single turn. Every one was looking into my eyes then shivering because some were scared.

Cloze Exersize-Swimming Carnival

On the 4th of may our school went to the swimming carnival and had a really good time. Jack V. was the Junior Boy's Champion winning all of his races and the Junior girl's Champion was Freda S. who swam really well in most of her races. The races at the carnival included freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, backstroke and the girls and boys medley. All the children at Howards Primary School got on the bus at 9:30 in the morning and got to the pool at 9:45. The first race kicked off at 9:50 and was the girl and boy medley. This was just one of the races that Freda and Jack won. Altogether the swimming carnival was the best ever one I have been to.

Year 4 Camp

On Wednesday year 4 went to camp for 2 nights and 3 days. At 9:30 we sat outside our school and the vice principal and principal said to have a good time and behave well. My mum came before we left to say goodbye. On the bus D.S. and A.A. were sitting next to me. A.A. on the left, and D.S. on the right. We talked all the way until A.A. said "Ooh a sheep", it was funny until someone saw a wallaby. We all turned in amazement and watched it go pass at the back of the bus.

Then we realised that we reached camp with the carving of the name on a pallet. I was amazed how big the camp was! Before we got there Mr M said, "There's another school, so don't interfer with them." Then we got off the bus and where introduced to the guiders. We went to the cabin area and we got told which cabin we were in and who with. T.C, D.S, A.A and myself were in the same cabin. We had the smallest group of all! We had 3 extra beds, 1 toilet, 1 shower, 2 cupboards and 1 sink.

The food was really nice and maybe I'll go there again maybe in the holidays.

Flamingos are a type of bird. The Flamingo are pinkish reddish and there beak is black. Around their eye's is white. There are 6 types of flamingos: Greater Flamingo, Lesser Flamingo, Chilean Flamingo, James Flamingo, Andean Flamingo and the American Flamingo.
